Improve Digital Children’s Privacy Notice

Introduction
Azerion is the leading European Programmatic Advertising Platform for publishers, content providers and broadcasters.
Azerion offers a compliant child-directed solution for managing bid requests sent by supply partners.
This policy explains what information the solution collects and how it is processed.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post notice at the top of the policy if we do. If we make a material change that affects the collection and use of personal information, we will notify our customers prior to making the change.
Compliant Solution for use in child-directed services
Azerion implements controls to prevent collection of a child’s personal data. A privacy by design framework ensures children’s data is treated compliantly.
COPPA flagged inventory is automatically stripped of persistent identifiers (such as IDFA, AAID, and User IDs). IP addresses are immediately truncated or hashed (in rest) to prevent the identification of an individual or precise location. Bid requests passed to Demand Partners do not contain personal information, restricting buyers to contextual targeting only.
Publishers are contractually obligated to flag child-directed inventory. For mixed-audience properties, we require publishers to provide age data to ensure appropriate controls are in place. Demand partners are also obligated to respect the COPPA signals. They are prohibited from using data for any purpose other than the specific ad transaction, fingerprinting, building profiles on child-directed traffic or for any other purposes.
Information Collected
We receive the following information in bid requests:
- IP address
- User agent
- Page URL / Application bundle ID
- Geo-location (Country and region based on IP address) + Latitude/Longitude
- Device ID (IDFA/AAID)
- cookie ID if matched
- Consent string
- Key values from the Publisher (potential PII, controlled by the Publisher)
- Third party vendor user IDs (EIDs)
When a COPPA flag is identified, the system programmatically blocks the collection and transmission of personal data by dropping any advertising IDs, user IDs and truncating/anonymizing the IP address. No personal information is retained or processed by Azerion.
How do we use the information collected
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provision of our Services: To provide the advertising service, to enable the automated auction (bidding process) of ad inventory, to record views and clicks on ads, and to show end users technically accurate advertisements (size of the ad, type of the ad, etc.)
- Improvement of our Services: to calculate usage levels of the ad services, help diagnose server problems, and administer the ad services;
- Analytics and reporting: to analyse ad performance and to provide information and reports to buyers
- Prevention of fraud and illegal activity: to identify invalid ad impression, clicks, installs or ad queries, to protect us and our publisher clients from fraudulent behaviour and to protect the security of the ad Services
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations: to comply with applicable laws, to comply with subpoenas, warrants or other legal processes, to respond to requests from public and government authorities, to enforce our terms and conditions, to protect our operations or those of our affiliates, to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property and that of our affiliates, end user, or others, to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit damages that we may sustain.

Azerion deletes all personal information delivered in bid requests immediately upon receipt and does not retain personal information from children.
Parents Rights
